Shadow, as you may remember, is our little Labrador puppy who has an overbite. The vet who examined him at 9 weeks did not think this would cause significant problems but unfortunately, puppies are not uniform cans of peas and a problem has developed :-(
http://www.petfinder.com/petdetail/20650857Shadow went for his routine Parvo vaccination booster at the vet's near his foster home (Bell's Corners) and they discovered that his two lower canines are poking right into his upper hard palate. Not only is this at least uncomfortable but they think it may be preventing his lower jaw from growing normally ... and of course, it is already shorter than the upper jaw. So he needs the two lower baby canines extracted as soon as possible.
Bells Corners quoted between $700-$1000 + consult, but this sounds like a lot for baby teeth so we are getting other quotes. The $500 estimated sounds like the lowest we'll be able to find at a good vet clinic but I'll update it as soon as I know, plus the consult fees.
Please help us help Shadow. This is one of THREE emergencies in the past two weeks, at a time where we are very low on funds. Your help is critical. The extractions cannot wait as Shadow is growing so fast... but the vet will need to be paid on the day of the surgery, so we need to raise these funds as soon as possible. Please donate if you can and share!
Thanks!
